Android 4.1 ‘Jelly Bean’ based tablet launched

It’s raining tablets! Karbonn mobiles has come up with Android 4.1 ‘Jelly Bean’ based tablet the Smart Tab I that incorporates MIPS-Based JZ4770 SoC from Ingenic as its running core.

On the price range it can be touted to be the world cheapest Android 4.1 ‘Jelly Bean’ based tablet at Rs 6990.
According to the company, the tablet will be available via the Karbonn website, as well as many other online shopping portals and retail outlets across India.

The company will also provide a free upgrade to the consumers from their pre-loaded Android 4.0.3 ( Ice Cream Sandwich) platform to Android 4.1 ( Jelly Bean) platform.

The tablet has a 17.8 cm 5-point touch screen, powered by a 3,700 mAh battery. The tablet also features a 3D gravity sensor, Wi-Fi and 3G support through USB dongle.

It has a 2MP front camera and pre-embedded applications such as the Karbonn Smart Browser and Karbonn Smart games and local apps.
