ASUS, the Taiwanese leading global consumer technology brand, aims to enhancing its position in the North East India, namely the contiguous Seven Sister States (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura), and the Himalayan State of Sikkim.
ASUS started its PC business in January of 2004, followed by the mobile business in July of 2014 and there was no turning point thereafter. As of today, ASUS has 7 exclusive stores, which features the entire range of smartphones, notebook, Epad, Desktop, All-in-one, Motherboards and VGA, including the recently launched products. Moreover Asus has 17 service centers to provide consumers a hassle-free after-sales experience.
Last month Asus expanded its Zenfone 3 Max series by adding the Zenfone 3s Max, owing to overwhelming response from the consumers for Zenfone 3 Max. The stunning series of Zenfone 3 Max is now available in three variants, Zenfone 3 Max 5.2 inch (ZC520TL) priced at Rs.12,999, Zenfone 3 Max 5.5 inch (ZC553KL) priced at Rs.17,999 and Zenfone 3s Max at Rs.14,999.
Speaking on the developments during the launch of Zenfone 3s Max, Pankaj Kar, Branch Head, NorthEast, ASUS India said, “The Northeastern market has immense growth potential and Assam has always been one of our primary focuses for expanding our reach. Catering to the high demand, we have strengthened our presence in this market and are determined to reach out to each and every consumer thus creating awareness for both mobile and PC adoption. We have 17% to 18% market share in PC business across NE market and have plans to reach 5% market share of mobile business by Q2, 2017.”
Additionally, Asus has 19 regional mobile distributorsand900 dealers for the Mobile business. Besides Asus also have 1regional PC distributors and 150 dealers for PC business across the NE. Every year ASUS organizes Dealers’ Meet, with an aim to engaged channel partners in orienting them with the new products by ASUS and the areas of focus in the realm of sales. In 2016, 300 dealers acknowledge Asus partnership by attending the North East Dealers’ Meet.
Over the period, Asus India has also increased its manpower to 150 for the Mobile division and 20 for the PC Business including ISP, Channel Sales Executive and Territory Manager, as a step-ahead to strengthen its business in North East.
