Founder and co-proprietor of Precious Me Love, an indigenous online store, Zuboni Humtsoe, passed away Monday night.
An outstanding lady entrepreneur, Zuboni had been instrumental in women empowerment and for which she was recognised, shortlisted and awarded with the prestigious national award ‘Nari Shakti Puraskar 2017’. She was handed over the award by the then President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, in the month of February 2017.
Starting off her entrepreneurial journey after completing her studies in 2011, she led a team of women and started Precious Me Love (PML) at her residence.
PML later was launched as an online store dealing in women’s clothing, vintage clothing, accessories, handicraft, jewellery, traditional ornaments and dolls.
Through PML, Zuboni promoted numerous Naga female models who would display the products and even Naga super model Ketholeno Kense Vihienuo showcased some of the products.
With her persistence and laborious approach towards her dreams to promote local entrepreneurship, Zuboni made PML a reputed and renowned brand which has been recognised internationally.
Her funeral was held, Tuesday, at her residence in Sematilla colony, Dimapur, where hundreds of her family, friends, co-workers, sympathisers and students from a neighbouring school paid a rousing tribute.
Paying homage and describing the person she was, a number of people including friends, co-workers, family and church representatives spoke during the funeral who all echoed the jolly, kind hearted and hard working characters Zuboni possessed.
One of the speakers described her as a “fighter who tries to share the burden of everyone who approaches her with their problems.”
Various business organizations, financial institutions and civil bodies took turns in paying their last respects to the departed soul.
GB of Sematilla colony, in a short speech, described Zuboni as a good-natured, disciplined and hardworking person.
She was laid to rest at Naga Cemetary, Dimapur.
