Assam’s Finance, Education and Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma Monday kick started the construction of Rs.45 crore multi discipline sports complex and also announced several infrastructural development projects. The complex is expected to be completed within 12 months.
Addressing, BJP workers and sportspersons at Karbi Anglong Sports Association (KASA) ground, Sarma also announced the construction of Donkamukam sports complex at a cost of Rs. Rs.25 crore, state of the art auditorium at Hamren, West Karbi Anglong , double lane road at Diphu town and Diphu river project which includes cleaning of the river and developing the waterfront.
The minister also inaugurated the new office building of the Joint Director of Health Services and inspected the progress of Diphu Medical College, which is all set to be commissioned within this year.
Sarma also announced that TET (Teachers Eligibility Test) for candidates of Karbi Anglong district will be conducted by Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, who will also appoint the teachers.
