Second Imkongsangba memorial open table tennis championship which started on July 2 concluded today at DDTTA indoor stadium, Dimapur.

Organized by Late Imkongsangba’s friends, altogether 50 players participated in the two days tournament which comprises of open and under 16 categories.

In the open singles, Dijanglong was declared winner while Jaren Jain was declared runners-up and pocketed cash prize of Rs.5000 and Rs.3000, trophies and certificates respectively while in the open doubles final, Dijanglong and Meihumlong beat Lovito and Shekhar. They were also awarded Rs.8000 and Rs.4000 respectively besides trophies and certificates.

Meanwhile, in the under-16 category singles final, Badal Jain beat Sourabh Jain to clinch the title and went home richer by Rs.3000 along with a trophy and a certificate while the runners-up was awarded Rs.2000 besides trophy and a certificate.

Jay Gurung and Rahul Jaiwal beat Sourabh Jain and Gokul Jain to lift the doubles title and they were awarded a cash prize of Rs.4000 and Rs.2000 respectively besides trophies and certificates. Earlier in the opening day, the tournament was graced by Atomi Swu, SDEO, Dimapur, as chief guest.
