Downhill Mountain Bike Race in Kohima

Native Station Nagaland organized the 4th edition of Kohima Downhill Mountain Bike Race coinciding with the Hornbill Festival on December 4 at Viswema village, Kohima.
The event was sponsored by start-up cycle manufacturing company based in Pune - Psynyde Bikes and Nagaland based clothing start-up Winter Made. Participants also paid tribute to popular Indian mountain biker late Ajay Padval, who died in a mountain bike accident earlier this year in Leh, Ladakh. He secured the fourth position in the last year edition. 
The winners were awarded firestone medals made in Nagaland by Naga craftsman and entrepreneur Veta Huphrem. It may be noted that the race track was designed by Ollie Hemstock of Hemstock Designs from United Kingdom along with the track design team from Nagaland comprising of Seyieo Sekhose, Kaolim Hanso, Kevilebo Zhotso, Kezevituo Seyie.
Kohima Downhill was organized by Mhonjan Lotha, Avitso Lcho, Bolto Pusa, Neikesa Yalie, Kele Yhoshu and Yanpvuo Kikon.
The event was organized with voluntary donations by young Nagas and many youths sacrificed their savings and salaries for the successful conduct of the event.

First:  Suman Tamang - S.T. (Nepal)
Second: Apshai Griffith Niangti (Shillong)
Third: Prachit Thapa (Nepal)
Fourth: Gautam Taode (Pune)
Fifth: Ollie Hemstock (United Kingdom)
Best local rider:  Seyieo Sekhose (Kohima)
