CBCM exposure trip cum trg in K’taka

Forest department of Nagaland organised training cum exposure trip to Karnataka state to enhance skill and knowledge on effective management of man-animal conflict as part of community based conflict management (CBCM) from September 13 to 25. 
A press release by wildlife warden, wildlife division Dimapur, K. Caroline IFS stated that the training was attended by staff from wildlife wind Nagaland, Natural Nagas (an NGO based in Nagaland) and representatives from wild elephant affected villages of Wokha district, namely Chubi, Old Riphyim, New Riphyim and Pyangsa villages. 
The release stated that two-day intensive field based training was imparted to the participants at Kulgi Nature Camp, Dandeli-Anshi Tiger Reserve Karnataka by the Wildlife Research and Conservation Society (WRCS), Pune where the trainees were taken to field area and had interaction with the locals, live demonstration on various methods of crop guarding materials from wild animals.
 It further stated that the participants had benefited from the knowledge imparted to them as practised in the state of Karnataka.
