Three-day workshop on Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) was conducted by department of counselling, Mount Mary College (MMC) Chumukedima for its students, teachers, non-teaching staff, private school teachers and social, religious leaders in and around Chumukidema on October 24, 26 and 28.
The resource person, Dr. A. Abraham MD from Kerala speaking on the theme of the workshop spoke on mind dynamics and personal excellence in education.
He described the main objectives of the NLP workshop as, “the way you think affects the internal and external language and the concepts you hold. This in turn affects the way you behave”.
Dr. A. Abraham also said that to enable the teachers and students to comprehend the behaviour of others, it was imperative for them to first understand how they experienced events in daily life.
The workshop focused mainly to “change the individual mind set to bring changes in the society”.
