Following to a series of meeting with the state government, BRO/BRTF and responsible departmental officials pertaining to condition of roads in the state capital, the Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) has decided to allow the responsible authorities to pursue road repairing and patching works in the interest of all.
In a press release, AYO Kekhrievolie Keyho and press secretary Tsotuo Sale said it was decided after competent authorities gave assurance to the organisation to provide quality works to the public with the resources available.
AYO appreciated the chief minister T.R. Zeliang and minister for PWD (R&B) Vikheho Swu for personally talking up the issue. AYO particularly lauded the chief minister for prompt response in allocating funds to execute necessary works in the state capital.
Stating that a number of vital roads in and around the capital would be given complete improvement within couple of weeks, AYO appealed to the citizens of Kohima to cooperate with the authorities executing developmental works in their respective areas and ensure that deliverance of quality works was not hindered and strangulated.
To sustain durability of services provided to the public, AYO cautioned subjects of the PHED, the water and cable pipes, the telecom particularly the OFC sectors and all individual responsible to immediately mend their works.
Further, AYO has urged the state quality control board to make its presence and works visible into the public domain. Reposing faith in assurance given by the government, AYO affirmed that in the event of non-deliverance of quality services to the public it would be compelled to take the matter to the streets any moment.
