State Bank of India Bazaar Branch Dimapur adopts Suhoi village

To boost rural livelihood of Suhoi village under Kuhuboto sub-division, State Bank of India, Bazaar Branch Dimapur formally adopted the village on July 4 under village adoption program “SBI ka apna gaon”.

A team of State Bank officials consisting of Ashok Kumar Das, Assistant General Manager, SBI Regional Branch Office, Narayan Chandra Biswas, Chief Manager (Rural), Jay Kanta Pator, Chief Manager, SBI Bazaar Branch, Kajal Chandra Roy, Manager, DBD and W. Katila Aier, Assistant Manager (Credit) visited the village and attended a programme organized by the villagers to mark the occasion, wherein Ashok Kumar Das formally announced the adoption of the village.   
    
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Kumar Das said all households in the village should open a bank account in order to avail various facilities provided by the bank to improve the economic stability of the village.

He said the bank would support the village to become prosperous by way of economic activities. He also urged villagers to maintain good relationship with the bank and to be sincere.

Assistant General Manger stressed on the need for the village leaders to have regular activities to educate the villagers on banking. He also committed to donate 10 nos. of ceiling fans for the village school. SBI also donated a computer set to the village.

Narayan Chandra Biswas and Jay Kanta Pator addressed the gathering and highlighted various opportunities that the bank provides to improve the living standard of the villagers.

Kajal Chandra Roy proposed the vote to thanks, P. Vihoshe, GB chaired the function, Tokuho Neho, head GB of the village delivered the welcome address while the villagers presented cultural dances and songs to honor the guests.
