Medical camp for Below Poverty Line at Khriezephe village

Focusing on people living Below Poverty Line (BPL), State Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) conducted a free medical camp at Khriezephe village, here Sunday. 

The second phase of the free medical camp would be held at Showuba on July 22.
The medical checkup was carried out by physicians of Dimapur namely Dr. Asale Vizo (MDS) dental specialist (Endodontics), Dr. Deepak Jain child specialist and Dr. B.K. Sethi general surgeon. 

Around 250 people including children, women and elders availed the free consultation and free medicines. Apart from medical checkup, free mosquito nets were also distributed to those villagers who underwent medical check-up.

The doctors at the camp also assured free consultation and treatment in their respective clinics to people who live below the poverty line (BPL).

Senior leaders from state BJP, M. Chuba, Kisan cell president Oren, BJYM president, Lima Longchar, BJP spokesman and general secretary, James Vizo including host of party workers attended and assisted the doctors during the camp.

Earlier, the free medical camp started with an invocation prayer by pastor Khriezephe church, Puzhodi followed by exhortation by BJYM president Lima Longchar and state BJP general secretary and spokesman, K James Vizo.

Chairman of the village, Jonah Kemp said the camp was the first of its kind ever since the village was established in 1991.

It may be noted that Khriezephe village has been named one of the best MGNREGA implementing village sin the state.

Some of the notable achievements of the village under MGNREGA Project include construction of village roads, widening, gravelling and metalling of the existing roads, construction of retaining walls and culverts.

Under the leadership of its VDB secretary K James Vizo, the village had recently constructed a water reservoir along with irrigation canal for farmers of three surrounding villages.

On June 22, Statistical Advisor of CAG New Delhi, D Guha, visited the village and official from National Level Monitoring, New Delhi, DN Sharma also visited the village on May 14, while State Audit Officer Haridas and BDO Medziphema, Tsuktiyatet Ao also visited the village.
