Showing seriousness and unity on the need for an early solution to the Naga political issue, all the sixty legislators from Nagaland cutting across party lines and political affiliation are now camping in Delhi to meet central leaders including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

According to reports received here, all the legislators from Nagaland led by speaker Kiyanilie Peseyie arrived at Delhi Monday.

The legislators were earlier scheduled to have a consultative meeting Monday before their meeting with the central leaders. However, the same was postponed as chief minister Neiphiu Rio could not make it to Delhi on time, it was learnt.

They were likely to meet early Tuesday before their scheduled appointment with the Union Home Minister and Opposition Leader Sushma Swaraj sometime in the afternoon or evening. The legislators were also expecting to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday.

The legislators headed for Delhi to appraise the central leadership on the ground realities and aspiration of the Naga society on the Naga political issue.
It may be mentioned that the decision to go to Delhi was taken at the meeting of Joint Legislator Forum (JLF) consisting of all the sixty legislators of the state.
