Week-long intensive course on ‘Photography and Video’ training organized by PixelCraft Design Studio (PDS) began here Monday at IMC Hall, with Steven Styris, a reputed photographer and documentarian from Guwahati as the resource person.

Proprietor of PixelCraft Design Studio, Ossar Yanger Jamir said at first, the studio started as house production. But in the month of April 2009, a proper studio was set up at Notun Basti, where Jamir also does video editing, animation and web designing.

The purpose of conducting this course, according to Jamir was to give basic training to trainees on how to take a photo or shoot a video.

“By taking a photo or shooting a video is not just enough, but one must have the basic skill to take a photo or shoot video”, said Jamir.

He said in Nagaland, most of the time, photo or video result are not “technically fine timed or picture perfect” as there was lack of basic training.

The training will continue till August 11.
Around 30 registered for the training.

Registration fee for the training is Rs.200 and Rs. 300 for per day.
Certificate will be given to the trainees.
