A person, who claimed to be GPRN/NSCN under secretary (finance), was arrested Thursday by Dimapur police on charges of robbing a guest at one Hotel in Dimapur at gunpoint August 29. Dimapur police PRO in a press release said the accused identified as one Inovi Assumi (32), son of Akheto Assumi of Litami village, residing at Sematilla, reportedly entered the victim’s hotel room at around 11 p.m. and looted his personal belongings, watch, bracelet, two rings and cash amounting to Rs.71,750. Police said the articles and cash were later recovered from the house of the accused at Sematilla and were handed over to the victim on zimmanama. One .32 pistol with three live rounds, used for committing crime, was seized along with an unregistered motorcycle (Pulsar), which was suspected to be a stolen, police said. A case was registered with east police station and investigations on, police said.
