NEZCC conducts workshop on women skill development

Five-day women skill development workshop was held on October 3, at Mezoma village, organized by North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC) Dimapur in association with Culture Guard. The workshop would conclude on October 7. 
Gracing the programme, department of forest, environment & climate change, ACF T. Husie Kuotsu, who is also one of the ‘Kikrakrü’ in the village asked the gathering to maintain one’s identity through preservation of culture and tradition.
Expressing his concern on practice of transfer of aged-old items beyond the village, he said that “we” needed to develop ideas and combined with the standard passed down to the generation to enrich/promote the culture. 
He also pointed that women should have the skill to develop one’s own needs.
He felt that there was a great need to organize similar event for the men folk also which would go a long way in preservation of culture.
Village council chairman, Thepfükuolie also spoke on the occasion and appealed the participants to avail maximum advantage from the workshop. He also expressed gratitude to the NEZCC Dimapur under ministry of culture for organizing this rare activity in the village. 
Altogether 33 participants attended the workshop. Earlier, the program was chaired by chairman Culture Guard, Rajuselie Lhousa, invocation prayer was pronounced by Rüülhoukho Khawakhrie and vote of thanks delivered by senior artist, Kuosevo Casavi.
