Eastern Nagaland Students Federation (ENSF) has appealed to all sections of society to create a peaceful and conducive environment for the students without further bandhs and agitations particularly in Eastern areas.
In a press release, ENSF vice president, Z. Throngshe Yimchunger, and general secretary, Honang M Jessuhu, said the federation and its six federating units at an emergency consultative meeting in Tuensang on February 16, 2017 “seriously observed” that the students appearing the ongoing HSLC/HSSLC examinations were mentally disturbed due to the current state of affairs.
At the meeting, it was also resolved to appeal the state government to restore data internet services at the earliest in the interest of student community. The house noted that most of the students depended on internet facilities especially for filing up the forms for various examinations and collection of study materials.
Meanwhile, ENSF has convened third consultative meet of the Eastern frontal organisations on February 21, 2017. In this regard, it also informed the Eastern Nagaland Legislators Union (ENLU), Eastern Nagaland Peoples Organisation (ENPO), Eastern Nagaland Gazetted Officers Association (ENGOA), Eastern Nagaland Women’s Organisation (ENWO) ENPO tribal organisations and ENSF federating units to be prepared to attend the meet. It said time and venue would be intimidated shortly.
