CVYS bans hunting, fishing in Chumukedima village

Chumukedima Village Youth Society (CVYS) has resolved to strictly ban all kinds of hunting and fishing in and within the village jurisdiction and warned that violators would be fined up to Rs. 1 lakh depending on the severity of the violation/damages. 
In a press note, president CVYS Vikhwe Yhoshü and general secretary Rokovikho Thepa informed that any kind of fishing/picnicking at Khuovarü was also strictly prohibited effective immediately. 
In this regard CVYS has advised the public to take note of the following strictures within the jurisdiction: Desist from igniting jungle burning/ wild fires; picnicking without permission from the youth office; collecting firewood and fodder feeds; unauthorized door to door business, scrap business etc. If any defaulters are apprehended in violation of the above strictures, the person/party shall be solely responsible for the unheeded act and shall be penalised and dealt with as per the standing resolution, CVYS warned.
Further, CVYS informed that youth volunteers would keep regular vigil to prevent any miscreants and anti-socials from disturbing the peaceful atmosphere in the village jurisdiction, and as such, has advised people to avoid loitering around in the village vicinity after 8 p.m. without genuine reasons.
