ACAUT, Merangkong Senso Telongjem Dimapur (MSTD), Dimapur Ao Youth front and several other organizations have vehemently condemned the assault on a prominent citizen of Dimapur, Dr. Aotoshi in an incident of road rage, at Purana Bazar, Dimapur on Saturday.
ACAUT media cell said Dr. Aotoshi was “brutally attacked and threatened by one Vinoka Khetoshe Awomi, who apparently is a theologian and a resident of Purana Bazar.”
ACAUT said even as Dr. Aotoshi was profusely bleeding and his wife’s repeated plea to allow him to go for medical treatment, the assailant refused to let him go and instead further hurled abuses and threatened him.
ACAUT demanded that the assailant be booked and under all sections of the penal code and punished promptly as per the law, to set an example that law breakers would be held accountable. It said the “Gadagiri and Goonda Raj culture” was a thing of the past and that law abiding citizens were comforted by the fact that rule of law prevails in Nagaland.
ACAUT said Dr. Aotoshi, who is the CEO of widows media and pro-vice chairman of Delhi Public School (Dimapur) was also a consultative body member of ACAUT Nagaland and a respected and law abiding citizen.
MSTD: Merangkong Senso Telongjem Dimapur has also condemned the barbaric assault meted out on one of its members, Dr. Aotoshi by one Vinoka Awomi of Litami Village and a resident of Purana bazaar, Dimapur. In a condemnation note, MSTD vice president, Er. N. Tia Jamir has demanded the district authorities and police to nab the culprit and his accomplice at the earliest and award appropriate punishment as per the law.
DAYO: Dimapur Ao Youth Organisation (DAYO) vehemently condemned the assault and threat mete out to Dr. Aotoshi by Vinoka Awomi
DAYO president K. Longri Imchen and general secretary, Meyatoba said the assailant while trying to overtake from the wrong side brushed the left side of the victim’s vehicle. Thereafter, without any rhyme or reason, Vinoka punched the victim on the left eye twice and verbally abused him, DAYO said.
Despite the victim profusely bleeding and in great pain, DAYO said some unidentified person from the assailant side also harassed and threatened the victim.
The youth front said it had taken serious note of such unprovoked attack on innocent and a senior citizen by unscrupulous people. DAYO has demanded the law enforcing agency to arrest the culprit and to award befitting punishment.
DVC: Darogapathar Village Council (DVC) has vehemently condemned the inhuman and barbaric physical assault on its bonafide permanent citizen, Dr. Aotoshi. A condemnation note by DVC chairman, Nungtokmeren Jamir and secretary, K. Ado Bizo has also condemned the use of abusive language and threat on Dr. Aotoshi by the culprit.
It stated that such action and behaviour had no place in a civilized society and has urged the law enforcing agency to take appropriate actions against such crimes and make Dimapur city a better place to live.
BAD: Business Association of Darogapathar (BAD) has condemned the “heinous and unprovoked attack” by ruthless attacker(s) on its advisor, Dr. Aotoshi.
BAD chairman, Imenuklo Longchar and secretary, Limala Walling said such brutal act had no place in a civilized society and therefore urged upon the authority concern to deliver justice at the earliest.
