‘Swachh Bharat’ launched by CSU

Under the national flagship program of Swachh Bharat, launched by prime minister, Narendra Modi, the Chuchuyimpang Students Union (CSU) has successfully organized and mobilized the Swachh Bharat within its jurisdiction.
CSU leaders on March 20 had visited Fazl Ali College Chuchuyimpang Mokokchung, the oldest college in Nagaland and handed over 30 bunches of brooms, in the presence of principlal, respective hostel wardens and perfects.
In a brief programme, CSU president Temjensangba Imsong explained the purpose of organizing cleanliness drive and he also requested the college authorities to lend a helping hand in this regard. The president also added that so far the CSU has handed over required number of brooms to five schools and one church.
The officiating principal, S. Arenla Longkumer expressed deep appreciation for taking up such an important venture and also congratulated the CSU leaders.
She also added that Chuchuyimpang village, as an esteemed recipient of Nirmal Gram Puraskar (NGP) Award in 2011, had surely set an exemplary gesture in this regard.
