NLBC holds 19th graduating ceremony

New Life Bible College (NLBC), Purana Bazar, Dimapur held its 19th graduating ceremony on Thursday with executive secretary of SABAK Pughoboto, Rev. Hotokhu Zhimomi as the speaker.
Addressing the graduates, Rev. Hotokhu said people who were not well grounded in God’s Word would fall for anything and encouraged the graduating theologians to commit to Christ as a disciple.
 “Give yourselves to him, do not worry, go out and do your work, God will use you”, he said.
Rev. Hotokhu asked the graduates to go out and do their work with zeal, commitment, determination and dedication adding that their degrees alone could not get them far unless they receive power from God.
Conferring of degree was done by NLBC principal, Apolo Sumi and academic dean, Amughato Sumi. Academic excellence award was received by Elika Zhimo and S. Nochila Chang; director award was received Mary Wangnao and Khekati K. Zhimo; best discipline award was received by Kinitoli Swu; best preaching award was received by Tangwang Lowang and Hokato Assumi; best chapel attendance and devotion attendance award was received by Ponglem Konyak, Y.N.Taopan Konyak, Tetlom Bo and Yoshimmi Kasomwoshi; dignity of labour was received by M. Chuli Phom and Tetlom Bo, certificate of appreciation was received by Pangten C Konyak, Olivia H. Assumi and Kalitoli K. Katty.
The programme was chaired by NLBC lecturer, Dr. Samuel Venuh, prelude and postlude by Octet School of Music, invocation by Asenla Walling, welcome speech by NLBC board chairperson, Deepika, scripture reading Old and New Testament by lecturer Vinili and chaplain L.Persis respectively, valedictory speech by Ilika, M.Div, graduation song was presented by the graduates, vote of thanks by Dr. Xashepu Wotsa and benediction by L. Persis. Altogether 55 students graduated.
