Clark Theological College (CTC) celebrated its 45th college foundation day on August 10, with Dimapur Ao Baptist Church, Pastor Rev. Dr. N. Tzudir as the speaker and development commissioner planning and coordination, Aolemla Jamir as guest of honour.
According to a release by CTC, speaker, Rev. Dr. N. Tzudir, an alumnus of CTC who graduated in the year 1982, observed that Nagas have accepted Christianity as religion and not Jesus Christ as their personal saviour.
Rev. Dr. Tzudir said Naga Christians were caught in between the debate of right versus truth and observed that “unfortunately Naga Christians are more inclined towards rights”.
Basing on the scripture passage from St. Paul’s second letter to Timothy 3: 14-17, Rev. Dr. Tzudir challenged the gathering that the signs of times demanded for people to reaffirm in the Holy Scripture, which would help to identify and clearly differentiate the difference between rights and truth.
In her speech, Aolemla Jamir said that the world needed leaders with clear vision and therefore admonished CTC to work diligently to develop and produce young men and women with clear vision.
She told both teachers and students that the vision of Clark Theological College was grounded on the vision not of a year, decade or of a century but an eternal vision.
She also encouraged the student community saying, “You are mentored today to mentor others tomorrow, therefore yours is a challenging responsibility.”
Chairperson CTC board of governors, I.  Meyionen Jamir, director and DIGP of Vigilance and anti-corruption cell, admonished the Clark community to once again revisit history and vision of CTC. Director, Centre for Gandhian Studies and Research, Nagaland University, Dr. Temjensosang Imsong also spoke in the programme.
In his welcome and introductory remark, CTC principal, Rev. Dr. Marnungsang said that the 45 years of existence of an institution like Clark Theological College only revealed God’s faithfulness and Church and people’s generous support towards the ministry of the college.
