More condemn Nov 30 assault on doctor

Various organisations have condemned the November 30 assault on Dr. Angukato Z. Achumi by non-Nagas. In this connection, Dimapur police has arrested six persons.  
TIN: The Indigenous Naga (TIN) in a condemnation note by convenor TIN, Marwati Jamir, has condemned the incident and satted that such “uncalled incidents occurring frequently revealed how important it is for the Nagas to take a firm resolution and action in regard to the IBI menace.”
TIN has urged all the right thinking Nagas to come forward and raise their voices to eradicate the menace from the land at the earliest. It also urged the law enforcing agencies to take quick action in apprehending the culprits and award strictest penalty as per the law. TIN further urged the Government of Nagaland for implementation of ILP at Dimapur district before the election and warned that the common Nagas would boycott the coming election of the present ruling party. 
SOUDA: Shena Old Union Dimapur Area (SOUDA) in a condemnation note by SOUDA president, Shetoho Achumi and joint secretary, Hutoshe Kits, have expressed shock at the dastardly act.
SOUDA has expressed serious concern over the state of affairs where “illegal immigrants” have committed such blatant act upon an indigenous Naga and urged upon all sections of the society to condemn such inhuman act.
SASU: Saptiqa Area Students Union (SASU) has vehemently condemned the physical assault on its member and has expressed shock at the incident. In a condemnation note, SASU president Atopu Achmu, termed the incident an act of “grave concern” and that such incidents of assault upon the Nagas by “illegal immigrants” have become common.  The union has urged the law enforcement agencies to book the remaining absconding accused and award befitting and exemplary punishment.
SASU has also expressed concern over the influx of “illegal immigrants” and reminded the village councils and the government to take cognizance of the issue and the danger it poses to the security as well as state economy.
