Niu Colony gate inaugurated

An indigenous gate at Niu Colony, Burma Camp Dimapur was formally inaugurated and dedicated by Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church (DSBC) Sr. Pastor Rev. S Vitoshe Swu, Thursday. 
After the dedication of the gate, a brief programme was held wherein former Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) member, Y. Pukhavi Yeptho, who donated and constructed the gate, hoped that peace and unity would prevail in the colony.
He informed that the gate was constructed with the hope to extend support for the welfare of the society. 
Pukhavi hoped that the gate would not only be entrance to the colony but would a symbol for unity, transparency, peace and understanding.
Hozka K Awomi highlighted the gathering on the significance of the symbols in the gate. He also informed that out of 97 colonies in urban areas under Dimapur, Nui Colony was adjudged fifth position in cleanliness category. 
Awomi encouraged the inhabitants to continue to keep the colony clean and utilize proper drainage system within the jurisdiction. 
Short speech was also delivered by Netaji Colony chairman, special number was presented by Lilona and Liyakali and later benediction prayer was pronounced by DSBC assistant Pastor Women, Hokheli Z Aye.  Colony chairmen from various colonies, GBs and members attended the programme.
