KVK, Kiphire conducts trg on livestock production

Two-day training-cum-free vaccination and health camp was conducted by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Kiphire, ICAR for NEH Region, Nagaland Centre at Tethuyo village and Kiphire town in collaboration with chief veterinary office (CVO) Kiphire on January 16 and 17 with Dr. Ekonthung Ngullie as the resource person.
According to press release by KVK Kiphire, the technical session discussed briefly about the various management techniques involved in the successful livestock production, by resource person.
Dr Ekonthung also emphasized the importance of vaccination and further encouraged the participants to ensure timely and regular vaccination of their animals as a preventive measure against diseases.
During the programme, senior scientist and head (i/c), KVK, Kiphire, N.Khumdemo Ezung highlighted the participants about the activities of the KVK and has also requested for their cooperation for successful conduct of all the programmes undertaken by the KVK.
He also expressed his gratitude to chief veterinary officer (CVO) Kiphire, Dr. Toluvi and pastor, Lotha Baptist Church, Kiphire, Khoben Jami and joint director, ICAR, Nagaland Centre, Dr. D. J. Rajkhowa for providing the needed support, cooperation and for the successful conduct of the camp.
Altogether around 200 farmers were benefitted from the programme, where approximately 70 dogs including poultry were vaccinated. Free consultation and medicines were provided to the participants including distribution of mineral mixture and vitamins.
The programme at Tethuyo village was facilitated by the village council and at Kiphire town by Lotha Baptist Church, Kiphire which was assisted by technical assistant, KVK, Kiphire, Dr. Patel and three VFA’s deputed from chief veterinary office, Kiphire.
