DUDA website launched by N. Bongkhao Konyak

The advisor for Department of Underdeveloped Area (DUDA), N. Bongkhao Konyak launched the department’s website at DUDA’s conference hall in presence of IT director, IT officials and department’s officials on Wednesday. 
According to DIPR report, speaking at the launching programme, Bongkhao stated that in today’s digital and electronic media, website was one of the most important platforms to connect with the public and congratulated the department for successfully launching its official website today. He also thanked the IT department for setting up and fulfilling the programme. He said that the launching of website of all the departments was one of the policies and programmes of the PDA government to ensure transparency and for dissemination of information to the public. He also hoped that the people living in far and remote villages including the international border villages would be able to access information and also know about the policies and programme of the department.
Joint director DUDA, Dr. Anungla Imdong Phom in her concluding remarks, stated that the department has achieved a milestone by launching its official website today. 
Giving a brief highlight on creation of the department, Dr. Anungla said that the department was initially created in 2003 for Eastern Nagaland i.e Tuensang, Longleng, Mon and Kiphire with an aim to uplift the livelihood of the area people and added that over the years the department has achieved in many ways. She also highlighted some of its achievements made in the sectors of education, health, research & expert studies and road & infrastructure.
