NSCN (K) cadres held

Three cadres of NSCN (K) were arrested along with arms and ammunition by Assam Rifle personnel from Niuland area on Wednesday at around 6.45 am. According to sources, the AR were personnel on a routine duty when they spotted a uniformed cadre in a hut and immediately surrounding the area. Two more cadres emerged from the hut. The trio were then apprehended and one M-16 rifle along with two magazines and 86 rounds of ammunition and one 7.62 SLR along with two magazines and 89 live rounds were seized. The trio have been identified as ‘ss’ Lt. Phusheto, ‘ss’ 2nd Lt. Kireto Yimchunger and ‘ss’ Sgt. Ahovi Sema.
