At least 38 villages under Aghunaqa block under Niuland sub-division have been cut off since May 9, 2019 after the road between Zhekishe village and Vokheto village was damaged by Zubza river landslide.

In a press release, Aghunaqa Kukami Kuqhakulu (GBs’ Union) president Heshito V Awomi and general secretary Hetoi Katty stated that due to the cutting of their only lifeline, the villagers were facing immense communication difficulties.

The union has, therefore, appealed to the responsible authority to take prompt initiative for restoration of the said road.
