CAN Youth confers excellence award

To promote and support skilled youth, mostly school and college dropouts, CAN Youth conferred its “Excellence Award” to a local craftsman, Ruovilhoukho Chuzo, at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur on Saturday.
Speaking as special guest, director, MTF, Dr. Hovithal Sothu, challenged youth of the state to focus on positive things and to do away with the “mediocrity mindset.” 
Calling upon youth to be sincere, Sothu said, “Nagas were known for our honesty but now we are rather known for our unbecoming acts.”
He also called upon the people to be dedicated in their work and follow the culture of dignity of labour.
He also acknowledged and appreciated CAN Youth, chief functionary, Jenpu Rongmei, for his effort and dedication in serving the youth. 
Recipient of the award, Ruovilhoukho Chuzo, thanked Almighty God for everything and testified to the gathering how God had been helping him in various ways.
In a keynote address, Jenpu Rongmei, gave a brief introduction about CAN Youth and gave a brief explaination of the Excellence Award.
He said the CAN Youth has been giving the award to promote, support and encourage school and college dropouts who have been using their talents to earn a livelihood.
The program was compeered by director, Path Finder’s, Vitono Haralu; Naga Council Dimapur, vice president, K. Ghokheto Chophy, exhorted the gathering; invocation was offered by MTH, Pastoral Care and Counselling, Washi Ozukum; special presentations were given by Gaichungpou Kamei, Sentibenla and Okthem and a vote of thanks by coordinator, Project Spatial CAN Youth, Grace K. Sema.
