Forest department launches clean environment drive in Kma

Clean environment drive programme was organized by Department of Environment Forests and Climate Change, Kohima Forest Division under the Green Initiative Programme at range office Kohima on June 25. 

According to DIPR report, the programme was officially launched by PCCF Nagaland, Rajat S. Pal by distributing eco friendly waste bins to the villagers. 

PCCF Nagaland addressed the gathering to make full use of the community assets provided, keeping in mind the mandate of the programme.

DFO Kohima, Rongsenlemla Imchen highlighted on the importance of the responsibility of community in keeping a clean environment and to maintain the plantations judiciously in the villages as it provided tangible and intangible ecological benefits. 

For the current year, clean environment drive was included in the programme in which eco friendly waste bins were distributed to villages.

Launched on December 3,1990. Nagaland Post is the first and highest circulated newspaper of Nagaland state. Nagaland Post is also the first newspaper in Nagaland to be published in multi-colour.
