HIV&AIDS sensitisation program held in Tuensang

A Synergy sensitization program and mass HIV & AIDS testing was carried out, in collaboration by DEF Tuensang-Kripa Foundation-IDS, on April 16 in Tuensang.

A press release from Tuensang SDPO, Dr. Pritpal Kaur stated that director of Kripa Foundation, Abou, highlighted the HIV Act 2017, OST treatment and the NDPS Act. Ketho, a role model, spoke on SNM and facts of drug addiction by narrating his own life’s example.

Special guest, Brigadier S. K. Sheoran, 7 Sec Hq AR, urged everyone to consider their own bodies sacred, and he asked parents to give quality time to their children. DC Tuensang, Mohammad Ali Shihab, also urged students to work hard instead of taking drugs. SP Tuensang, Bharat encouraged them to be humane and be sympathetic to HIV patients. CKS president, Nungsanglemba, also spoke in the program and asked students to stay away from drugs and focus on their careers.

The ENWO was represented by its vice president Asang.

DEF, 12th IR, 3rd NAP, 164th NAGA TA, school and college students, teachers, driver associations, students’ unions, administration, NGOs, CMO office and others attended the program. It was followed by mass blood sample testing and the results were given separately to maintain the privacies of every patient. 

The program was chaired by Dr. Pritpal Kaur.
