KMC on pork rates, street food vendors
Kohima College Research Cell members who were part of the one-day workshop on research methodology, with the resource persons, on October 6.

The Research Cell of Kohima College, Kohima (KCK), organized a one-day workshop on research methodology, with Dr. Seyiekhrielie Whiso, assistant professor and IQAC coordinator, Science College, Jotsoma, as resource person on October 6.

A press release from KCK mass media cell stated that Dr. Watijungshi, principal, KCK, in his keynote address encouraged the college teachers to focus on research work as the quality of a college depends on its teachers. He also said that research activities are viewed as a huge plus point during NAAC assessments which strive for “quality” and that, “research methodology is a specific technique of selecting the right tools to analyze data”.

Dr. Eunice Alinger, secretary, Research Cell, KCK in her brief outline on the importance of the workshop stated that the workshop was initiated for various reasons, but mostly because of the UGCs introduction of the API (Academic Performance Indicator).

Resource person, Dr. Seyiekhrielie in his presentation on research methodology elucidated the methods and techniques, objectives, types and structure of a research paper. He also emphasized on the UGC norms and amendments in API under CAS (Career Advancement Scheme).

The concluding remarks were given by Moanungla Kevichusa, HoD English, KCK, and the vote of thanks by Megovono Usou, coordinator, IQAC, KCK.

The program was chaired by Dr. Konei Nakhro, convenor, Research Cell, KCK, and the recorders were Dr. Ketoukhrie-ü, member, Research Cell, and Dr. Khriezenuo, assistant professor, department of English.
