Met office forecasts rain across NE

Northeast will experience enhanced rainfall activity in the run-up to Durga Puja. Regional Meteorological Centre at Borjhar in statement Thursday informed that the current meteorological analysis and numerical model guidance suggests a significant increase in the spatial coverage as well as the intensity of the rainfall activity at most places over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura in the next two days with slight reduction thereafter. According to the MET analysis, “The very severe cyclonic storm “Titli” over North coastal Andhra Pradesh and adjoining South Odisha has moved west-northwestwards with a speed of about 13 km per hour during the past six hours and lay centred at 8.30 am on Thursday over south Odisha, about 90 km west-southwest of Gopalpur and 60 km south-southeast of Phulbani.”
