Mon Unit PWD Field Workers Association (MUPWDFWA) has demanded implementation of 67% reservation under NPWD for work charge employees.

In a letter to the engineer in chief of PWD Nagaland, MUPWDFWA president, Wakho Konyak and MUPWDFWA, unit secretary, K Mosa Konyak, asked why the department has not implemented 67% quota as per the P&AR department office memorandum dated March 17, 2015.

The signatories claimed that the department had not reserved 67% out of resulting vacancies, but the same were filled with “fresh candidates” leaving out genuine work charge employees. Demanding the implementation, MUPWDFWA said the work charge employees had gone through untold hardships and they were only demanding what was rightfully theirs.
