The Directorate of Printing & Stationery, Nagaland Kohima departmental organized a staff picnic on February 9 at the Pony Farm in Kigwema with all staff, both from the Establishment Branch and Technical Sections.

A press release issued by the department stated that director, Wati L. Imchen addressed the staff gathered in a simple function. Wati L. Imchen said the department had been one of the backbones of the State government, and it had been for many years.

He appreciated the tireless efforts of the staff, specially the technical staff, and said, “when printing works of the government are pressing us there is no Sunday for the staff.”

The picnic involved recreational activities organized by the staff, like a lottery draw, song presentations, dances, photo session etc.

The release mentioned that the department’s staff had been working sleepless nights printing speeches of Very Very Important Persons (VVIPs) for the Republic Day celebrations this year.

Therefore, the picnic was organized as a recreational activity of peace for them. Approximately 250 staff were part of the picnic.
