Quarterly DTCC meeting held at Wokha

The quarterly review meeting of the district tobacco control cell (DTCC), co-ordination committee, enforcement squad & flying squad (NTCP) Wokha was held at DC’s conference hall on December 5. 

A press release from district media officer, Wokha, Mhonbeni Ezung stated that,  deputy commissioner Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon chaired the programme, wherein quarterly report activities of the DTCC and guidelines for tobacco free schools was presented by Dr. Meribeni Odyuo senior dental surgeon & DNO NTCP. 

Seven schools in the district were declared tobacco free schools: DBHSS, Perennial Montessori School, Mt. Carmel High School, Cistus High School, Grace English High School and Springdale High School, in addition to the previously tobacco free declared schools such as Mt. Sinai School and Isaiah Ability School.
