Rejoinder on ‘Nagas hills tribal struggle for sovereignty from India’

Apropos the item published in Nagaland post on July 9 (page 6), I doubt the identity of the writer as a true Naga. Whether he is writing intentionally or unintentionally but we are sorry for his ignorance about omission of names of important Naga leaders who signed the 16 point agreement on the basis of which the state government is functioning till now. There is no person called Putimo Chakhesang in Chakhesang tribe under Phek district. His real name was late Pudiinu Demo, in short, P. Demo. Another important leader whose name is omitted was late Goyiepra Kenyie who went to Delhi as a delegate and he sacrificed his life. After signing the agreement he died in Delhi.
