Tetso College held its first graduation day on June 15 with founder and president/ principal emeritus of Patkai Christian College, Dr. Tuisem A Shishak, as the commencement speaker and Winsome Sitlhou, who secured gold medal in BA (Eng) under Nagaland University, as valedictorian.

In his speech, Dr. Tuisem A Shishak said it was about time that institutes like Tetso College and Patkai Christian College collaborate spiritually and academically for the growth of higher education. He added that institutes of higher education should move towards excellence in research. 
Dr. Shishak also encouraged Tetso students to move forward with confidence and avoid being a part of the unemployable youth. 
Tetso College principal, Dr. P.S. Lorin, presented a brief history of the college’s humble beginnings since 1994, and encouraged the graduating the students to create a positive impact in society and continue to live true to the college’s motto to “strive for excellence”.
In a introductory remarks, Dr. Hewasa Lorin, reminded the students that they are not only graduating with a degree but as a more complete person, knowing that their responsibility also lies in improving the society and the state.
The function was chaired by Dr. S. Elika Assumi, opening prayer by Haiwalo Apon, executive secretary, CRBC (Council of Rengma Baptist Churches). 
A folk fusion song was presented by Pretty Rhythm. 134 students completed their graduation.
