 The 7th annual fashion show, “Ethnic Exuberance” will be presented by The Global Open University Nagaland (TGOUN) department of fashion technology on June 13, at Don Bosco, Dimapur for development and leadership. 

It was announced in a press conference held on Tuesday at TGOUN. The show will commence from 6 p.m. onwards with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dimapur, Kevekha Kevin Zehol as chief guest and weaver service centre, GOI, ministry of textiles deputy director (processing), Dr. V Sivak Kumar as guest of honour. 

Highlighting about TGOUN fashion technology department, event coordinator, Rosou Rhi informed that 11 students comprising of seven graduating students and four junior students will be presenting their designs during the event. The show will be a competitive event of which the marks they obtain from the show will be added in their internal assessment. He also informed that the show will be based in three categories namely best design collection, best garment construction and best creativity. 

Assistant event coordinator, Imtisashi Jamir focussing on the theme “Ethnic Exuberance” said that the show will provide an opportunity for the students to deliver their first collection as a designer basing on the culture and tradition. He stated that the luxury excitement and cheerfulness that is brought upon by its distinctive tradition to the fashion scenario is the ethnic exuberance. 

Jamir also informed that certificates and mementos will be given away to the participants.

The 11 designers will be presenting their garments under different sub titles presenting eight sequences. The event will be hosted by Athe Rhi, panel judges of the event will be designer Kavili Kiba Swu, deigner Regina Chakrunuo and actor Zhokhoi Chuzho, fashion choreographer will be Opang Jamir, and make-up artist will be Dukru’s salon and academy. The photographer of the show will be Tiameren Ao and hair stylist will be Cutz and Glitz.
