Dimapur excise personnel recovered 800 grams of brown sugar (Heroin) and arrested one person on April 8. According to Superintendent of Excise & Prohibition, Dimapur, Limatemsu Changkiri, the arrested person has been identified as Lamminlen Kipgen (31), S/o Letkhohao Kipgen, R/o Pangjang Vill. Saikul, Senapati, Manipur.
The drug consignment was sourced from Manipur and was destined for Dimapur. However, after much surveillance and intelligence gathering, the duty party could nab the accused person and seized the narcotic drug from Eros lane area, Dimapur, Limatesu said.
The accused has been booked under relevant sections of the NDPS Act 1985 and further investigation is underway.
