In an unfortunate incident, a Bolero vehicle heading towards Dimapur from Kohima, went off the mountain road plunging around 100 meters with seven occupants, at Piphema NH- 29, on Monday, around 2 pm. One woman has been reported killed and six others injured. The deceased was identified as Arirou (45 female), who succumbed to injuries at Referral Hospital Dimapur. The six injured persons, admitted to the same hospital, were identified as Veronica, Hriimana, Daile, Kennedy, Paorou and Adusoune. The latter two were stated to be in critical conditions. All occupants of the vehicle hail from Tunggam Makhufii village under Senapati district in Manipur. The cause of the incident and other details could not be ascertained till filing of this report. When this correspondent tried to contact Medziphema police station for more details, the number in the police directory was not working.
