In another case of road mishap, one person was killed when a dumper loaded with sand and bricks and coming towards the town rolled down 70 to 80 feet below the road near New Camp area, about 30 km away from Mokokchung in the wee hours of Tuesday.
On receiving information, Mokokchung Police rushed to the spot and found the driver of the dumper crushed under the vehicle. The deceased has been identified as Watsulo Rengma.
According to police, the body was retrieved by a combined team of police and traffic personnel, with assistance of public and later taken to New Camp police outpost. The body was later handed over to the relatives.
