One lady, aged around 36 years, died in a truck accident that occurred at Wokha-Merapani road on Friday at around 7:30 a.m.
According to Wokha police, three occupants were reportedly travelling in the truck carrying ginger from Phek district to Assam. The lady died on the spot while the driver and the handyman were reportedly admitted to civil hospital Wokha.
In a separate incident, a mini truck reportedly speeding in the serpentine Wokha-Merapani road met with an accident at a blind turning between Yikhum and Doyang at around 11:20 a.m. The truck overturned in the accident, but no casualty was reported.
