In a delayed report, one person in his early 30s was found dead near Assam-Nagaland border area under Tuli sub-division on Wednesday evening.
According to reports, the victim was a driver who had reportedly ferried some passengers on hire to Nagaland side.
Though the incident was yet to be ascertained, it was suspected that the driver was allegedly killed by some miscreants in order to hijack the vehicle.
The body of the driver was later found near Assam-Nagaland border area under Tuli sub-division while the vehicle was found in another area.
Following the news, people living in border area of Assam staged protest against the murder.
