District Intelligence Branch (DIB) of DEF Kohima on January 19 intercepted one white Bolero bearing Registration No. AS-01-BE-4731 whose chassis number was completely tampered and the owner was taken into police custody.
SDPO and PRO, Kohima, said the vehicle was intercepted from Para Medical Colony after was spotted moving around in a suspicious manner.
The Bolero’s owner namely M Notnang Mahak (32), son of M James Mahak of Somdal village in Ukhrul district, Manipur, was taken into custody and a suo moto FIR was lodged at South PS Kohima against him.
A regular case vide South PS Kohima Case No. 0007/15 U/S 468/471/482 IPC was registered against the person and he has been remanded into Police custody for conducting further investigation.
