One person was killed and three others injured when the vehicle (Maruti swift dzire bearing Nagaland registration of one Rohit Jaiswal) was hit by a truck at Lahorijan, Assam on Sunday afternoon.
The victims, all from one family and residents of Dimapur, were returning from Lahorijan area where they had gone to attend a programme.
According to reports, the deceased succumbed to the injuries while on the way to the hospital. The truck driver was later arrested by Assam police.
It was also learnt that the same truck had hit another vehicle before the incident. However, the occupant managed to escape with minor injuries.
