10-bedded ICU launched in district hospital Tuensang

A 10-bedded intensive care unit (ICU) was launched at District Hospital Tuensang on January 6 in Tuensang. A press release by DMO, NHM Tuensang, Apheang stated that DC Tuensang, Nokchasashi, who launched the ICU, expressed the hope that the functioning of ICU will further improve the heathcare service.
He also encouraged the heath care workers to put more efforts to prove quality services to the people.
DC also assured to write a letter to urge the higher authorities to provide a Anaesthesia doctor in district hospital Tuensang.
A brief introduction of ICU was given by MD (Medicine) DH Tuensang Dr. Alem, where he highlighted the main aims and objectives of ICU.
He also gave a background and history of 10–bedded ICU project under five partnerships.
The programme was chaired by Medical Superintendent, Dr. Puse Liegise and pathologist DH Tuensang Dr. Tochi Chang gave a briefed introduction of the hospital.
The launching programme was attended by DC, SP, MS, DIO, doctors and nurses from district hospital and DMO (NHM).
