Triumph Infosystem Skills Development & Services (TISD&S) Dimapur certified a hundred trainees who were awarded certificates at a felicitation program for Entrepreneurship Skill Training Programme (ESTP) held on Friday, at the office premises of TISD&S. National Urban Livelihood Mission (NULM), SUDA Kohima, mission director, Takatoba Aier attended the program as the chief guest.
Speaking at the program, the chief guest spoke about the importance of skill development which, he said, is the need of the hour.
Aier urged the trainers to impart true knowledge to trainees so that they can utilize the knowledge in their lives. He said that skill training providers should also consider implementing job placement programs or set up self-enterprises for successful candidates.
Aier also encouraged the trainees to utilize the training that they had gained and start their ventures instead of depending on their parents. Aier encouraged the trainees to focus and look for better opportunities instead of depending on the government for jobs.
He also added that each individual, training under ESTP components of NULM should be awarded certificates issued by the competent agency, and also assessment of skill gained should be done by an independent certifying agency.
Earlier, while delivering a welcome address, TISD&S directress, Imsurenla Imchen mentioned that over the past two years TISD&S had trained more than 450 candidates in IT and various allied disciplines.
The program was chaired by Diwale Thong, invocation prayer was offered by Imna Imchen, a student note was delivered by Ireliephelie, and later vote of thanks was delivered by TISD&S director Hainenmo Thong.
