Eleven contestants will compete for the coveted Miss Mokokchung 2026 title at the grand finale scheduled for August 14 at 6 p.m. at Town Hall, Mokokchung.
The details were announced during a press conference organised by Forerunners, Mokokchung, at The Magnus Hotel Conference Hall on Tuesday. The pageant is being organised under the guidance of the Beauty and Aesthetics Society of Nagaland (BASN).
The organisers said the Talent Round was held on August 3, providing contestants an opportunity to showcase their individual abilities ahead of the finale.
The grand finale will feature traditional and introductory, cocktail and evening gown rounds, along with performances by Shau Evans, Abdon Mech, SARIWAR Band, Ningdangri & Friends, Toshiwapang Imsong, Maongkar, Tiakumla and Elizabeth Khing of Nagaland Collective. SARIWAR Band will make its live debut at the event.
The finale will be directed by Neitho Khamo, an event management and marketing professional associated with BASN since 2017 and currently serving as its PR & Marketing Manager. He is also co-founder of Novaturient Managements, Talent Foresight and Foresight Event Managements.
District Agriculture Officer, Mokokchung, Dr. Nochetla Tzudir will be the chief guest, while founder and proprietor of Hope Academy, Sashila Ozukum will be the guest of honour.
The programme will be hosted by proprietor and principal/administrator of Soul House Academy, Mokokchung Arenla Lemtur. Imnuksungla Jamir, a former Miss Glamona 1st Runner-Up and Miss Nagaland 1st Runner-Up in 2011, will be the programme announcer. Sangyu Pongen, advocate at the Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench, will serve as chief tabulator.
The organisers have also put together a specialised creative and fashion team for the finale. Manen Jamir, an award-winning fashion designer and alumnus of the Indian Institute of Fashion Technology, Bengaluru, will design the cocktail dresses, while Shillong-based designer HM Hmingmawii will design the evening gowns.
Sangthy LKR and Anung Imchen will serve as official makeup artists, while Kohima-based photographer and visual storyteller Khruku Ltu will be the official photographer.
Apart from the main title, subtitles including Miss Beautiful Skin, Miss Beautiful Smile, Miss Congeniality, Miss Perfect 10, Miss Photogenic, Miss Runway and Miss Talented will also be awarded.
The organisers said tickets for the finale are available at Social Garden.
The winner of Miss Mokokchung 2026 will receive direct entry to the Miss Nagaland contest, while the two runners-up will get an opportunity to audition for the state-level pageant.
