111 Battalion BSF conducts special cleanliness drive

111 Battalion BSF has organised ‘Swachh Bharat Mission,’ a special cleanliness drive, in and around Satakha town area with an aim to promote the importance of cleanliness. On the day, citizens were made aware about the importance of cleanliness through public address and by displaying banners at prominent places in and around Satakha town. Officers, SOs and jawans along with civil society actively participated in the programme.
Civil administration and people of Satakha town extended their appreciation to 111 BN BSF for their good work and initiative.
Meanwhile, as part of the golden jubilee celebration of BSF, a civic action programme was organised by 111 BN BSF at Satakha village and Momi village under Satakha Sub-division on February 1 in collaboration with the medical team of PHC Satakha led by the medical officer Dr. Mhase Angami and unit medical staff along with Non Users Network (NUN) and Nagaland State AIDS control Society (NSACS), Zunheboto branch.   Medical team reached out to the citizens by giving counseling, HIV testing and medical cover. Grocery items and items from the unit canteen were also made available for the people. People from all walks of life attended the programme and benefitted from the facilities provided by the unit.
