DIMAPUR: The 12th MDTTA Interschool Table Tennis Tournament 2026 concluded in Mokokchung on Friday, with 59 students from eight schools participating in the competition.
The tournament was formally inaugurated by District Youth Resources and Sports Officer, Mokokchung, Zhopovi Zecho. The event concluded with a prize distribution and closing ceremony, where Senior SDEO Chinglong attended as the guest of honour.
Addressing the gathering, officials of the Mokokchung District Table Tennis Association (MDTTA) encouraged the young participants to take part in the upcoming Lt. Imtitemjen Memorial Table Tennis Tournament 2026.
The championship was held across three categories — Under 13, Under 15, and Under 19 for both Boys and Girls in Singles and Doubles events. The Overall Champion title was awarded to Mount Moriah School, Ungma, while the Best Disciplined Team award went to Queen Mary Higher Secondary School.
